BikeBike's Kids Bike Trade Up Program

When it comes to fitting kids on bikes, safety, fit, and lightweight are the most important considerations. Safe and a good fit to us mean that the child can safely mount/dismount the bike, operate the controls with confidence, and a lightweight bike is just more fun to ride then a heavy bike. Imagine how much fun you'd (not) be having on a 100lbs bike!

Low quality bikes, like the units you find at mass retailers like Canadian Tire, Walmart, Costco, and Sport Chek are simply not designed to stand up to the rigours kids put them through, and more importantly - are designed to be as cheap as possible resulting in poor riding performance and durability over time. Add in that these bikes are rarely assembled by professional mechanics and you've got a recipe for an lame bike riding experience for your children.

It doesn't have to be like this. You can get your kids on the right bike without breaking the budget.

How The Program Works:

Purchase any new kid's bike from our store (wheel size 12” through 24"), and you can trade it up later to a larger size!  Simply bring it back to our store within 2 years and in working condition** we will give you up to 25%* of what you paid as a credit towards their next bike!

Credit must be used the same day and can be used on in stock bikes or bikes we may need to special order for you.

The Trade Up Program can also be used for working condition Yepp/Thule kids seats: buy a Mini, trade up to a Maxi, then trade up to their first pedal bike.**

* New bike purchase must be towards a larger size, can not trade "down" or replace the same size. Original receipt is required - no exceptions. All Trade Up bikes will be subject to an inspection which will determine any necessary repairs and the 50% Trade Up credit will be adjusted accordingly, bikes must also be cosmetically appealing and rust free. Only bikes purchased from the BikeBike Inc. are eligible to participate in the Trade Up program. Juvenile bikes, sizes 12" - 24" are eligible. All original equipment accessories must be included (or replaced) prior to Trade Up

** Working Condition is described as: A safe and functioning bicycle/kids seat where as tires have no less then 50% of tread remaining and tubes must hold air; overall bike/seat is cosmetically appealing and rust free; locking keys and adapters included; no stripped nuts, bolts, or allen keys; brakes and pads stop bike adequately; drivetrain components are in working order; wheels are true and spokes are in good condition.

*** We reserve the right to refuse any bike or kid seat we feel has been modified or damaged, mechanically or cosmetically, in such a way that it is no longer fit to ride. ***
